These chairs are sturdy and beautiful but the seats were difficult to attach, there are no pre dilled holes in the seat and they are attached with wood screws. Because the frame isn't flush with the seat in all areas, it takes some muscle and patience to get the screws to make contact. I was going to return them originally but liked the style so much we pushed ahead through the assembly process. The return process is a nightmare because Amazon isn't involved in it...the furniture company sets the rules and it is at their discretion if you will be fully reimbursed. These were also on backorder for several weeks despite it stating "in stock" upon checkout.
