The first thing I did when I got these sheets was put them in the wash - so by the time they were on my bed there was no foul plastic odor. The sheets came out of the dryer generally wrinkle free, and when pulled tight on the bed no wrinkles were noticeable. I ordered the teal sheets and love the deep blue color, it reminds me of the 'sky blue'crayola crayon. I'm also a fan of the checkerboard pattern, its different without being too busy to sleep on. I have a standard queen size bed with a pillow top and the sheets fit beautifully
