I just purchased one of these on eBay for less than $25.00. I consider that a GREAT DEAL! I would not pay $170.00 for this item or for any clock radio for that matter, but this item is not bad. The nature sounds are relatively realistic but can be annoying nonetheless because of the repetitiveness. The sound quality of the radio/CD is more than adequate for a clock radio. The alarms have many options which I'll never use because they are a little complicated. However, I'm certain that with regular use, they would be no problem. The display actually dims enough not to be too bright at night, but the display is a little difficult to read unless you are on the same level. For what I paid, I'm thrilled. For what Amazon is selling it for, not so much.
