Have never brewed anything before, but with a bumper crop of blackberries this year, I decided to try making blackberry wine. So I shopped around a lot before settling on this kit because it contains the most equipment for the least cost. There is a lot of information to digest in the two books, brochure and catalog included with the kit, but the upshot is that my first batch of wine is now satisfactorily in its secondary fermentation.

I had one small issue with an adhesive thermometer that didn't work, but the company replaced it promptly. So I'm about to start on a second batch!
