I purchased this for my newborn girl's pink and navy nursery. We have an accent wall painted with a nice rich navy, and the rug coordinates very well. I would say it is a true navy with true blue undertones as opposed to purple. Overall, I am very happy with the aesthetics and look of the rug. I took away one star only for 'feel' and cushion of the rug. The shag fibers are not the softest I have felt, but solid navy rugs are hard to come by and I didn't want to spend $500+ on a nicer one that would surely be softer and more padded as well. This rug could use some additional padding underneath to make kneeling for playtime, etc easier on the knees, so we may look into that. For now, it works fine on our wood floor and adds great aesthetics to the room.
