I really love this pillow. My grandmother used to have one in her old place in Grand Haven. It's got the best Michigan highlights. I live in Brooklyn now, and this pillow, though craftsy, goes with my more modern decor and reminds me of home.

My main issue with this pillow is that the colors of the thread bleed slightly, and so if you, or a (ahem!) loved one, think that you can just lie down on it and take a nap, you are wrong--this thing cannot handle being sweat upon. I'm hoping that the dry cleaner can breathe new life and vibrancy into my pillow. It's that or amortize the loss and buy a replacement. I will certainly not wait to dry clean the new one till it's more than 5 years old. I will also have a more comfy decoy pillow nearby, so that this one is not a temptation for men or dogs.
